Biscuit of the Week: Tim Tam vs Penguin
What better way to kick off our new-look blog than with biscuits! We've been sampling some of the new flavours of the Australian Tim Tam biscuit, while comparing them to the English Penguin biscuit. We came across a webpage that addresses that very question: Biscuit of the Week. Feel free to give your opinion with a comment! Elsewhere on the same website we read: When Ross Arnott was looking around for a name for the biscuit he had just invented based on the British Penguin bar he took the name of the 1958 Kentucky Derby winner 'Tim Tam'. See the section on 'Gaiety' biscuits on this page: Gaiety Biscuits We like them both!

I wouldn't be surprised if penguins and Tim Tams were offered at the House of Commons tea-break!

someone in our office has returned from Aus with a packet Tim Tam's and we have taken the challenge:
    Result:

The Tim Tam is a quality biscuit but it breaks a golden rule. No penguin or penguin look a like can be packed together side by side
    without thier jacket's on.

The penguin is bigger and doesn't instantly melt in your mouth and cause mess everywhere.

conclusion - Penguin are the best, the rest will always come second.
